Yo what up y’all!!!! most of my post are usally deep or intense….or deal with promoting my music….but letz have a little fun on this one…LOL!!!!
Now I’m not really the biggest movie expert….matter of fact, I didn’t even watch the “OSCARS”…didn’t really matter that much to me……but reading the newspaper today & seeing how they failed to acknowledge the Director James Cameron & his blockbuster hit “AVATAR”……I couldn’t help but feel it was “PERSONAL”!!!
Now I don’t have time to stay up on the gossip in Tinsletown….or know the in’s and out’s of Hollywood relationships…..but it sure don’t seem like James Cameron is a popular guy amongst Hollywood insiders….so somebody get @ me wit some comments……is it me…..or did the OSCARS straight up hate on Dude or what???…..LOL!!!!

Hi Corey,
I haven’t even watched Avatar yet !
God Bless,
TJ

I didn’t follow the Awards either, but they did the same thing with Christopher Nolan’s “Dark Knight” a year ago. And I enjoyed “Avatar” as well – Cameron’s a talent & even though the movie’s plot is quite simple cats ain’t gettin the message. We’re still robbin Africa’s natural resources and won’t quit choppin down the rain forest in South America as well. I don’t know what’s up with Hollywood – seams like they don’t care?!

Maybe oscar was repelled by Cameron when he won for Titanic in 1998 and shouted “I’m King of the World!!!!!” Maybe Oscar was giving favor to his ex-wife, who directed ‘Hurt Locker’–which I think won Best Picture, but i’m not sure. Who can ever tell what that crazy little statue is thinkin-

Yeah, I think they did. He got all that love for Titanic and this has happened before with other movies where it just wins everything. I think they didn’t want that and felt that the film wasn’t that great even though it was innovative with all the technology.
The wanted to stump the assumptions many made before the Oscars.

Yo I don’t think it was a bad thing. I didn’t see Avatar, but I did see The Hurt Locker about the bomb units in the middle east. That movie was excellent and under budgeted. The woman who won best director over Avatar was not only his ex wife, but the first woman to ever win that award. Ill. I didn’t want to see avatar after they took it out of IMAX 3d.

Avatar was overrated. It was technically groundbreaking so it got acknowledged with awards by other organizations for its innovative digital and 3D savvy.
As for the director, I don’t know. Maybe they were hatin’ on him. He probably got swamped with love for the Titanic back in the day.

I feel all the comments, don’t disagree wit anybody….was just wondering….shout out to Scott Winters….he’s gonna call me on the cell after I say this….but he’s the guy who played a boxer on the HBO series “OZ”…humble brother and a friend of mine…he likes the background but i wanted to acknowledge him!!!

Awards shows are crap. No disrespect, but it’s like when Toby Mac won a grammy over Flame. Now c’m on!!! Anyone who knows hip-hop knows what that’s about. I doubt if the people who give out the awards have even carefully studied the crafts of the category in which they are awarding. It’s all about personal agendas and certain people they feel they have to appeal to, tru…

Ok… Red…You might not like my answer to your question. Yeah the Avatar movie was a banggin flick…I give it that. Wifey wanted to go see & I did. I give James Cameron credit for that piece (almost 10 years in the makin) but if I working for the “OSCARS” myself…I would’ve shut that devil down 2. While I was watching the flick I remembered what this joker was trying to do a minute ago. This is the same ASS-Clown that was claiming that he has scientific proof that Jesus Christ was never resurrected. He went so far to say that he had collected real evidence through DNA tests, that being archeological evidence. He also said he can prove that Mary Magdalene got busy with Jesus and were married, as well as had a daughter???? This dude was just about proving and denying the divinity of the Son of God and his victory over death. Cameron just wanted to drive a stake into the heart of Christianity, since without the Resurrection, Jesus was only a mortal man.” Yeah I took this question somewhere else but I don’t care…I just spit what’s on my mind. Kinda like you Red One Love in Christ

I didnt watch the Oscars but Im not shocked to hear that after watching the film. The world system and especially the celebrity world is ran by people who love wickedness and hate the WHOLE truth hence the tabloids that continue to sell at our local Walmarts and the content within.
Avatar had some foul language but was an amazing film for one such as myself(who watches fewer films because of the content). I put it in my top 20 greatest films and Ive seen many movies…if they diss it its probably the same reason why they dissed “The Passion of the Christ”.
